Privacy Policy
Last updated July 12, 2026.
GameReviewRank (“we”, “us”) is operated by Silver Directive LLC. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what choices you have.
What we collect
We do not require an account and we do not ask you for personal information. We collect limited, aggregated usage data: pages viewed, referring site, approximate region, device and browser type, and which outbound links are clicked. This is used to understand which rankings people find useful.
Cookies and similar technologies
We store a single preference in your browser’s local storage to remember your chosen view (cards, list or grid) on the best-of pages. It contains no personal information and never leaves your device.
Analytics and advertising partners may set their own cookies as described below. Where consent is required for such cookies (for example, for visitors in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland), we will ask for it before those cookies are set.
Analytics
We use privacy-respecting analytics to measure traffic in aggregate. We do not sell personal information, and we do not build advertising profiles ourselves.
Advertising
This site may display advertising served by third parties, including Google. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user’s prior visits to this and other websites. You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google’s Ads Settings, or opt out of third-party vendor cookies via www.aboutads.info.
Affiliate links
Some links to retailers are affiliate links, including links to Amazon, Humble Store, Eneba and Kinguin. If you buy something through one, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases. These links are marked as sponsored, and a disclosure appears alongside them wherever they are shown. Affiliate relationships never affect a game’s score or its position in any ranking — rankings are computed from published critic lists and review scores, as described in our methodology.
Your privacy choices (California and other US states)
We do not sell personal information for money. If we serve personalised advertising, however, the use of advertising cookies may be treated as “sharing” or as a sale of personal information under the California Consumer Privacy Act (as amended by the CPRA) and comparable laws in other states.
To opt out of personalised advertising you can use Google’s Ads Settings, opt out of third-party vendor cookies at www.aboutads.info, or enable a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal in your browser, which we treat as a valid opt-out request. You may also exercise your right to opt out, or to know, correct or delete personal information, by emailing us at contact@gamereviewrank.com. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
Third-party data sources
Scores and game metadata are compiled from publicly reported figures via RAWG, Metacritic, OpenCritic, Steam, IMDb and the GameRankings archive. We are not affiliated with any of these services. Loading pages may cause requests to their servers (for example, to fetch cover art), which is subject to their own privacy practices.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example, under GDPR or the CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal information we hold about you, and to object to certain processing. Because we do not maintain user accounts, we typically hold no information that identifies you personally. To make a request, contact us below.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
